DURABLE BUILDINGS WITH HEALTHIER INDOOR ENVIRONMENTS

Air barriers were a curious Canadian obsession just a few years ago; however, they are now mandated in various state Energy Codes and are predicted to spread quickly. The primary reason is energy efficiency; however, the goal of durable buildings with healthier indoor environments is driving more and more professionals to consider the 'total building envelope'. The continuous air barrier system is a key element of this new approach. Nationwide trends mandating green building codes are also driving this technology forward towards designing energy efficient structures.

Knowles Industrial Services Corporation has partnered with the Air Barrier Association of America, architects, engineering firms and prominent material manufacturers in order to be a key element in this market.
