Knowles Industrial Wins AGC Safety Awards

Knowles Industrial Services is proud to announce that they are the winners of two AGC Safety Awards. Since 1924, Knowles has been a leader in specialty concrete repair and restoration projects in Maine, New England, and around the country. This third generation, family owned business delivers innovative methods to repair, protect, and strengthen concrete and masonry structures. It is their mission to provide 100% customer satisfaction to their clients, as well as remain committed to the safety and efficiency of their skilled workforce.

Since 1926, the AGC (The Associated General Contractors of America) has annually recognized contractor members for excellence in safety. Through two awards programs, the Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) and the National AGC Safety Awards (NASA), they offer members an opportunity to evaluate their company or business’ safety record. They also evaluate and analyze company’s effort to implement loss prevention programs through management commitment, employee involvement, and innovation. Eligibility for the awards is based upon submission, as well as presentation, of a company’s safety records, statistics, and safety program. Judges evaluate the company's commitment to safety, accident prevention plan, and the implementation of their designated safety coordinator, manager and committee. Judges also evaluate the company’s emergency, investigative, and reporting procedures in the course of an accident.

In 2013, Knowles was awarded two AGC America Safety Awards. The first award was the Zero Incidence Rate - 50,000 work hours and over in the Heavy/Industrial division. The second award was received for the Zero Incidence Rate - 50,000 work hours and over in the Specialty division. The latter award marks Knowles’ third consecutive year with a zero incident or injury rate.
